Latest Update from Hope’s Food Pantry

Hope Lutheran’s food pantry is serving more than 80 families and distributing almost 5000 lbs of food every single week! Our partnership with Feeding America allows us to purchase all types of food for 19 cents a pound, equipping us to serve hearty nutritious foods to the community. Our partnership with Farm to Family provides use with substantial produce boxes bi-weekly, often coming with milk and butter! Are you interested in partnering with us? Here are some often requested non-food items that we would love to be able to serve: Cleaning supplies, Laundry detergent, Toiletries: Body soap, Shampoo, toothpaste, etc., Diapers or Depends and wipes, Feminine care, Pet food. You can also give at the link below! https://tithe.ly/give_new/www/#/tithely/give-one-time/301218 Thank you for all that support this ministry, including but certainly not limited to: Eric Focht from UCR, Tin Lizzies cookies, Riverside Probation officers, Christian Flores and many others. It is an honor to be able to witness the body of Christ serving the community, and each other.

Hope Lutheran Church has a small food pantry run by a dedicated group of volunteers. Donations have been received from not only within the community, but from across the world and across all faiths.

During the COVID-19 period, the Pantry will be open on Wednesdays from 9:30 am- 11:30 am in the building located on the breezeway between the gates. The gates will open at 9:30 am. We ask that you not line up closely prior to opening in order to keep proper social distancing.

Precautions will be taken to minimize contact between volunteers and the public. We ask that you help us keep everyone healthy by only sending one member per family, wear a mask and gloves if you have them, wash your hands before coming, and maintain good 6 feet of social distancing. We appreciate your cooperation.

If you have any extra to share with the community, please consider donating. Shelf staples like canned veggies and fruits, rice, beans, oil/shortening, canned meats, pastas, etc are all needed. There has also been an increase in need for baby products such as wipes and diapers, formula, and powdered milk. Volunteers are needed!

Thank you for being part of our community.
